Troubled

by PamFord Davis

Do you ever feel troubled?

We need not be ashamed. Trouble comes to all.

God created us as emotional beings. We experience both joy and sorrow.

Jesus was troubled because He had great compassion.

“Then the Jews who were with her in the house, and comforting her, when they saw that Mary rose up quickly and went out, followed her, saying, ‘She is going to the tomb to weep there.’

Then, when Mary came where Jesus was, and saw Him, she fell down at His feet, saying to Him, ‘Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.’

Therefore, when Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who came with her weeping, He groaned in the spirit and was troubled
(John 11:31-33 NKJV).”

Jesus was troubled because He was being betrayed.

“When Jesus had said these things, He was troubled in spirit, and testified and said, ‘Most assuredly, I say to you, one of you will betray Me (John 13:21 NKJV).”

Jesus felt sorrow.

“Then He said to them, ‘My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch.’

He went a little farther, and fell on the ground, and prayed that if it were possible, the hour might pass from Him. And He said, ‘Abba, Father, all things are possible for You. Take this cup away from Me; nevertheless, not what I will, but what You will (Mark 4:34-36 NKJV).”

Knowing that tribulation (trouble) would befall us, Jesus offered hope.

“In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world (John 16:33b NKJV).”

Answers in Times of Great Disaster

by Charles Stanley
Intouch Ministries

Deuteronomy 29:29

Almighty God reserves the right to reveal some things and conceal others. Although we may not know why natural disasters occur, the biblical truths we do know with absolute certainty allow us to trust the Lord even in times of great suffering. Because of the Bible, we can be certain:

God is in control (Psalm 103:19). Nothing in heaven or on earth is outside of His rule and authority. He does not react to events but sovereignly ordains or permits them to run their course. Although we cannot know for certain if He has sent a catastrophe or allowed it, we can trust in His goodness and wisdom.

The Lord loves people and wants them to be saved (John 3:16-17). Giving His Son for the salvation of the world proves without a doubt that He loves each person. This truth stands firm despite the fact that many reject the Savior. He cares for us, even when we can’t feel it or won’t accept it.

God works circumstances for His good purpose (Isa. 46:10). Though we can’t fully comprehend what He’s doing in each incident, every disaster is a wake-up call for humanity. God is alerting us to the need for repentance—so the lost can be saved and the saved can be revived to live totally for Him. The Lord wants to get our attention, and catastrophes open our ears to hear from Him.

The One who loves us perfectly is in full control, working everything out according to His plan. Knowing this should fill us with hope, even in the midst of crisis situations. The Lord promises to turn disaster to good for those who “are called according to His purpose” (Rom. 8:28).

God’s Promise in Context

by Charles Stanley
Intouch Ministies

Psalm 19:7-11

Yesterday we noted that to understand God’s divine promises, believers must consider the whole counsel of God. For example, the Lord’s commitment to supply our needs isn’t isolated from other parts of Scripture.

Trust God to provide (James 1:6-7). James opens his letter with a strong warning that those who doubt the Lord can expect nothing from Him. God’s trustworthiness is clear in Scripture and in believers’ lives, but our wavering confidence undermines His work.

Wait upon His timing (1 Samuel 13:9-13). Instead of waiting for Samuel, King Saul usurped the prophet’s authority by making a pre-battle sacrifice to God. Though his army won, Saul lost God’s favor as well as the throne. People who manipulate circumstances and timing expect good results but are often disappointed. No one gets what he really wants by supplying his own need.

Accept responsibility (Prov. 19:15; Prov. 20:4). We can’t expect God will open a door to opportunity while we’re just sitting back. We have to be on the lookout, ready to participate. For example, if we need a job, we should be out submitting applications. If we want to know the Father’s direction for a hard situation, we must be seeking Him regularly through prayer and His Word.

God knows our needs, and He has committed Himself to meeting every one. But He does not make promises in a vacuum. We have a responsibility to trust Him, be patient, and do our part. Then we leave it to the Lord to move heaven and earth to provide.

The Basis for Discernment

by Charles Stanley
Intouch Ministries

Hebrews 4:12-13

Spiritual discernment is the ability to see life from God’s perspective. It requires that we know how He thinks and acts. The Bible is His unchanging, infallible revelation of Himself. However, the Lord doesn’t simply give us a list of facts about His character and ways. All throughout the pages of Scripture, He illustrates who He is and how He operates.

Although an ancient book, the Bible is in no way obsolete. Its stories may have taken place centuries ago, but its principles and applications are still relevant, offering discernment about situations and guidance for decisions.

God’s Word—which Ephesians 6:17 refers to as “the sword of the Spirit”— is active and piercing, like a surgeon’s scalpel. The words don’t simply sit on the page; rather, they penetrate our heart and judge our thoughts and motives. This convicting quality is why some Christians avoid reading the Bible. They prefer to live on a surface level but never understand why they react to situations the way they do. If we don’t want to keep making the same mistakes, it’s essential that we become discerning about ourselves. The way to do that is by approaching the Word of God with an open spirit. Then God will bring to light our hidden motives and unrecognized sins.

Spiritual discernment involves seeing not just circumstances but also ourselves from God’s perspective. Have you learned to embrace the piercing sword of Scripture, or have you avoided doing so because it makes you uncomfortable? Remember, whenever the Lord uses a surgical knife, His purpose is always to make us healthier.

Love Casting Out Fear

I was watching an interview of a soldier who risked his life to save a child in a dangerous situation: He prayed and then took a leap of faith and ran to pick up a girl who was hiding under the dead body of her mother. He could have been killed by rebel shooters, but He made it back to the safe zone with that child. He was asked if He was afraid, and he said yes, he was afraid, but the Lord encouraged Him to go and do this brave act, and He knew he would be alright, because God was watching over Him.

When you have fear in your heart, the first thing you must do is ask for help from God. Fear was always my greatest enemy, and it has taken me a long time to get to the point where I know that I can act in a situation, even with fear in my heart if God tells me it will be okay. When you are feeling fearful, ask the Lord for a fresh infusion of His Love, and when you feel love in heart, fear has to leave; fear cannot exist in the presence of Love!

A Testimony: What I Have Learned So Far

I wanted to give a personal testimony on what has happened in my life on a spiritual level. The Lord has been wonderful to me, gracious and merciful. He has given me a reason to keep on going in this life, which is to love the one person who loves me with all of His heart and soul, Jesus Christ, who died on a cross for my sins, to give me new life and an awesome future with Him, forever and ever, in love, peace, and joy!

Life has not been easy recently, and I would not have survived at all without His love and protection. He told me last year to start a blog, to write down everything I had in my heart, to use what God has given me to express His love for me and for all of His children, and it has helped me so much, for whatever the Lord gives me to say has also blessed me, and has changed me spiritually and emotionally. I have gone over some of my past posts, and I can't believe these words came out of me!

My writing skills are not perfect, I never studied to become a writer, I make mistakes, but what I write comes from a love of God, and a need to express what He has put into my heart. Every feeling He has put into me, I write about because I know He wants to me show the world what He means to me!

This is what I have learned recently:

1. The daily devotional time with God has paid off: I learned to make time with God everyday (prayer, reading the bible, praise and worship) because of what I have learned from other christians, through writings, shows and videos, and what they have taught me to do is working. I know for a fact that my inner life has changed. I am more confident, I have lost a lot of fears and anxieties, I learned to trust Him more and lean into His love and His will for my life. This is something that happened gradually, and has kept me going despite my circumstances.

2. Healings - I have been healed many times when symptoms occured, and I learned to come to Jesus first, when symptoms manifest themselves in my body, some were as simple as headaches and as important as knee problems that could have affected the rest of my life, all types of fevers and viruses. Staying in the word daily and declaring healing scriptures over my body has helped me to be healthy and to remain positive when fear tries to come back into my heart.

3. The Blood of Jesus - I have often heard from other christians that pleading the Blood of Jesus over your life and your circumstances work, and I have to agree. I have done so and I feel positive results in my mind, in my heart, and in my life. Never underestimate the power of the Blood of the Lamb, for it is that Blood that saves us, and cleanses us from all of our sins; the devil and his demons cannot stand against the Blood of the Lamb, so while you are declaring bible verses over your issues and healing scriptures over your symptoms, don't forget to claim the Blood of Jesus over your life!

4. Practicing Daily Communion - I come from christian denominations that did not take communion everyday, and so the concept was a foreign one to me, but some christians are declaring the many benefits of daily communion. It focuses your heart and mind to Jesus Christ, and His sacrifice on the cross; I am more motivated to the christian walk, and I see this as more than a religious ritual, but a loving gesture by my Lord Jesus Christ, His passionate need to share His heart, soul, and blood for me as He allowed Himself to be sacrificed on the cross at calvary.

People who take daily communion report healings of the body and the mind; some are instant healings and some are progressive healings. I do recommend that you try this when you start to have symptoms in your body, or when the doctor comes back with a bad report. I know that I am feeling much better since I started to do this and I feel that it is added protection for me as I go about living my life in Him.

5. Rise and Sunset Prayer - I learned from other christians to do these prayers, say a prayer when I wake up in the morning, and say a prayer when I lie down to sleep. This is not a great revelation, because many christians do this, in fact many people were raised to do the prayer before you go to bed. I was raised to do the sunset prayer; what was different is how I prayed it and what I prayed for. I learned to pray as I woke up a simple prayer of hope, love, and dedication - I dedicated the day to the Lord, I asked Him to be with me and to help me to be a better christian, and anything that I was thinking about at that time, some issue.

At night, I prayed for His protection against spiritual warfare from evil spirits, and asked for dreams of revelation about God, sweet dreams of love and revelation, and this is what happened: It started my day well and gave me the motivation to be do better, to be better and I was focused on the fact that this day is a gift from God, and that everyday I live is a gift from the Lord, it's not about me, it's about Him! The simple prayer of protection and guidance at night helped me tremendously, my dreams were sweeter, and He spoke more revelations to me in my heart, and I know longer had anxiety dreams.

These prayers are simple and takes less than a minute of my time, but I have found that they are very powerful!

I can say that it has been a wonderful experience getting to know my God, and how much He loves me, and if you know my Lord Jesus like I do, I know that you can say the same things too!

Jesus, I Want To Come Home

"Jesus, I want to come home!" - that is what we all say with our hearts when we accept Him as our Lord and Savior. We were deep into sin and we had no real solution for our troubles, and then we had a revelation of Jesus Christ! Someone talked to us about Him, or we heard a sermon in church or on tv, maybe it was radio program and you heard the testimony of someone who was struggling just like you, and their words touched your heart.

Did you know that your confession of faith in God is something very special in God's eyes; you touched His heart when you said "yes" to his invitation. It was a miracle that only God could have done; human beings are very broken, weak, and hard hearted, we live to obey our own desires, and we must learn to be selfless and compassionate.

Matthew Chapter 19 16-2

16 Just then a man came up to Jesus and asked, “Teacher, what good thing must I do to get eternal life?”

17 “Why do you ask me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, keep the commandments.”

18 “Which ones?” he inquired.

Jesus replied, “‘You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, 19 honor your father and mother,’ and ‘love your neighbor as yourself.’”

20 “All these I have kept,” the young man said. “What do I still lack?”

21 Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

22 When the young man heard this, he went away sad, because he had great wealth.

23 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly I tell you, it is hard for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of heaven.

24 Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.”

25 When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and asked, “Who then can be saved?”

26 Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

What was Jesus saying here? He was not saying that the rich could not be saved, but that He is the only way that they could be saved. It was not that the rich man wasn't a 'good' person, it was that he allowed His wealth to blind Him to the Real Treasure in this life, Jesus Christ, and it is only by the power and authority of the Lord that any of us wake up from our slumber and see His light.

I just saw a video about a woman who tried to witness to a homeless atheist. She told Him that she did not have any money, but she wanted to give Him a bible, but He refused to take it. She tried to leave one near Him, but He told her to take it away, and give it to someone who could use it! Somewhere, in the recesses of his heart, he knew that the Word of God was real, that it was the truth, and yet he chose to refuse it for himself; that is why there are many 'good' people in hell, who believed their 'goodness' would get them into heaven, but how could they get to heaven if they never knew God or His Son, Jesus Christ?

Please listen, you must know the way to heaven, you must seek Him with all of your heart, and accept His Son, Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, for the time is growing short; no one will be able to seek Him out once He comes for His church and He leaves the rebels and the unbelievers here with the devil and his demons for the final judgement.

He protects this world right now with His love, and His Holy Spirit will not leave until every child of God has been collected from the four corners of our world.

I can say with faith and belief that this time of favor and grace is quickly running out, so there is only one very important thing that you must do right now:

Look up to heaven, and say with all of your heart, "Jesus, I want to come home!"

Vision - Daniel - Judgment

by Jacky Julyan

Vision and Message: Jesus said "Write down what you see"
I had this vision on 9th January 2017, I came across it again this morning and felt to post it. Although some of it pertains to my testimony of healing and also includes a dream I had of evil to come, together with a final message from Jesus of repentance for we are truly in the LAST HOURS before Jesus' Second coming

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance....2 Peter 3:9

I see Jesus at the right hand of the Father. I see my prayers going toward the Father. They are on a silky pink ribbon the name of ‘little jacky’ is printed on in neat handwriting.

I see tall angels standing beside God and I also see Michael wrestling with a devil called F.E.A.R. This devil called F.E.A.R. is branded all over his face in capital letters. These letters are like separate fires and move in and out of every part of the body of this demon. As I look closer to this word F.E.A.R. I see each letter has a separate entity. It is alive and moving. This demon called F.E.A.R. grows like a balloon, expanding and contracting.

I see myself surrounded by this demon called F.E.A.R. as a child resulting in inner torment and anguish every time I see an adult, for it was adults that abused me as a child. I also see other letters, though smaller on this demon called F.E.A.R. one is s.u.s.p.i.c.i.o.n. one is j.u.d.g.i.n.g. the other j.e.a.l.o.u.s.y. another called m.a.l.i.c.e. and p.a.i.n. All these different words, including F.E.A.R. move in and out of a person’s body, heart and mind bringing continual torment.

I noticed that they move like an ‘S’ shape, a snake. The words interlock with each other and eventually shape like a pentagram star. This is the symbol of satan and witchcraft. I noticed that when these words moved around and formed this shape of a pentagram to completion then there were loud screams of pain and it disperses like fire and starts all over again.

I see this demonic spirit in the heavenly realms ducking and diving as it fights with Michael the archangel of God. On one side is very deep darkness and on the other brilliant light.

My own prayers yielding to Christ are bringing greater victories. At this time of viewing I see there is no let up from this demonic spirit for Jesus is allowing me to see it as it really is. The LORD revealed that this demonic spirit called F.E.A.R. did come through my mother’s womb at birth. It is a generational stronghold from the enemy due to disobedience and witchcraft. The LORD revealed that each generation which repeats the history and continues in disobedience and witchcraft makes the spirits of the enemy even stronger. This is the reason why the demonic spirit of F.E.A.R. has been so great.

At this point of showing me the truth I see Jesus standing as though getting ready to cast this demonic spirit out with ONE word. It is no hard thing for Him to do so. I see the spirit that has surrounded me all my life since childhood still fighting but is losing ground rapidly as Jesus gets nearer.

Each time I let Jesus in to those dark areas then greater the healing and deliverance shall be. The Father is now nodding His Head because He has heard my cries of deliverance. He has heard my prayers of repentance for any involvement in the occult that I grew up in and there is an imminent victory, yet Jesus is waiting for something. Not sure what it is, it is like He is waiting for something to emerge or finish.

Then I see lots of little pink ribbons, those you see advertised for those who have breast cancer. I see that these are also attached to this demonic being called F.E.A.R. and the words d.i.s.e.a.s.e. and s.i.c.k.n.e.s.s. Again the LORD showed me that they are generational on my mother’s side. [This is true many in that family died of cancer].

As this vision unfolds, of which I am truly amazed, it reminds me the first time I saw Jesus in the form of man back in 1991 at a deliverance ministry. He came to me with the name ‘Daniel’ which actually means Judgment. I remember seeing Him and He is beautiful and I couldn’t take my eyes off Him. He looked so incredibly young and knew what I was thinking which was I thought He was an angel. His words were ‘I am not who you think I am’. Because yes, I thought He was an angel of God but He was more He was the Son of God.

The LORD also wanted to show me other things taking place right before my eyes which were too incredible. There is a lot of activity going on in Heaven right now. I saw that there are a lot of preparations being made. It is as though Jesus is waiting for someone to leave the earth is connected to me in some way. Again, like the other week I perceive it is to do with my earthly father. The words, although not spoken, but silently spoken to my mind was ‘The hour has come’.

There is such a battle going on still in the Heavens and it really is unbelievable. I saw another trumpet being polished and ready to be blown. It is 35 feet long. There is also a stampede of demons on horses, wild black horses which change into large black boars. The demons are sat on top of them ready to go. [I had this in a dream in 2013].

I see Jesus calmly interceding for many of his people, the saints, but the multitude of black horses like large boars are stamping their feet. The words I hear from them are ‘Let us go!’ ‘It’s time to let us go!’ But Jesus is standing quiet and very tall, very calm. I can feel the burning love in His heart. The pain of what is to come is beyond description. There is so much emotion between the Father and Jesus His Son. There are no words. Their thoughts and emotions are as One. Jesus looks at His mighty angels and nods. Again no words are used or needed. All things in Heaven are understood without words.

Then I see the Father form out of His mouth a ring of fire. He blows it towards the earth. it is travelling so fast from the Heavens to the earth. This I sense is a protective ring or ‘Wall of Fire’ around those who belong to Him, those who will escape the coming wrath. I had a sense it was like the time when the angels came to Sodom to get Lot and his family out and the LORD’s judgment wouldn’t fall until Lot’s family had gone out of the city.

The demons are now in a frenzy and are ready to bring destruction and fear.

Another ring of fire is blown out of the Father’s mouth. He does this seven times! These are for the saints. These are seven ‘Walls of Fire’ and they get larger and larger as they leave His Mouth until they hit the earth, which is not yet.

Then from another perspective, even standing in the same position, like a panoramic view I see these seven rings, seven ‘Walls of Fire’ enter into the earth’s atmosphere like you would see a comet coming out of the sky.

Jesus looks at me, no words are needed but He says:

‘Tell the people what you see’

‘Tell them to REPENT and turn to Me’

‘All that is left is REPENTANCE for the darkness is now descending from above and from below’.

Jesus then takes me in an instant, transported to the core of the earth, the centre of the earth which is just fire and brimstone. There is a tremendous heat and coals of fire to burn many but I do not feel it’s intensity.

I see in the Heavens Chariots of Fire and also hoards of black horses like large black boars, very strange creatures as though they switch from one creature to another.

I hear the words ‘That’s enough’. Again they are not spoken but transferred through thought from the Head of Christ.

‘Tell them to REPENT for the Kingdom of God is here’

‘Tell them to REPENT’

Then I see Jesus standing at his rightful place at the right hand of the Father interceding for His saints, His beloved people.

More and more prayers are flying now into the Father and He is answering them according to His Will and His Kingdom.

The atmosphere in Heaven is electric. The storehouses are now open where the Father keeps the Lightening which are being prepared as swords from Heaven. Also being prepared are tornadoes of different lengths and height and width.

One last time I hear Jesus say:

‘Tell them to REPENT’

‘Tell them what you have seen’

‘Tell them to REPENT’

The LORD called me to write since 2006. The time is short and I delight to do Godïs will, although it can be tough! My website: https://joyfulinhope2017.wordpress.com/

Can You Feel The Presence Of The Lord?

Isaiah 57:15

For thus says the high and exalted One Who lives forever, whose name is Holy, "I dwell on a high and holy place, And also with the contrite and lowly of spirit In order to revive the spirit of the lowly And to revive the heart of the contrite.

Where is the presence God in your life? Did you know He is always present with His children, with His little ones, the ones that love Him and cherish Him, the ones who love Him?

He is there with me, when I am happy, He is there with me, when I am feeling low; there is no time in my life when He has left me alone. Even in the early days of my childhood, when I believed in Him, but did not know Him, when He was just a concept taught to me in my old church and in sunday school, He was there. Even when I felt lonely and helpless or when bad things occured in my life, He was always there.

When I began to truly understand who He was, and when I truly began to love Him, He was there. He was waiting for me to come into my own and claim Him, for He had always had a claim on me!

Where is the presence of God? Always in my heart and soul; I cherish the times when I usher in the presence of God, by worshiping Him and praising Him, by prayer and supplication, singing my content by myself in my 'war room', my prayer closet, and reading His word, letting His wisdom permeate my heart, and yes, He was always there, cheering me on and supporting me.

The presence of God is everywhere, and if you do not feel His presence in your life, you may not be open to the experience. Ask the Lord to come into your heart and mind, open your heart to believe in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, and you will begin to experience His presence in your life....

His Eye Is on the Chipmunk

by Alan Allegra

We live in the ideal location: lots of trees, good soil, pleasant climate, plenty of food, peace and quiet; it is the ideal environment — for chipmunks!

Chippies are so cute — and so destructive. They have caused thousands of dollars’ worth of damage to our property, so we have decided they have to go. We couldn’t entreat them to leave, get a restraining order, or pawcuff them, and we don’t want to kill them, so we bought a humane trap that allows us to exile them to a better place (with the owner’s permission, of course!).

We tempt the critters into the trap with a handful of yummy seed, then SNAP! the trap slams shut and the chipster cannot escape.

It’s hard to watch the little fellow struggle, but we know he will be free in a matter of minutes. If the captives only knew that, they could relax and wait. (Believe it or not, when I started this sentence — SNAP!)

Have you ever heard the sudden SNAP! of a trap? It may be the result of giving in to a yummy temptation (Proverbs 29:6: “An evil man is ensnared in his transgression, but a righteous man sings and rejoices.”). Perhaps it’s the deluged basement, the double-dealing spouse, the deflated bank account, or the dire prognosis. Whatever it is, you suddenly feel trapped and desperate.

Unlike the panicked chipmunk, the child of God can know that God is watching and will release us in due time.

Many of us are familiar with the classic hymn, “His Eye Is on the Sparrow.” It is a song of comfort based on Jesus’s words in Matthew 10:29-31, “Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.” If the Father notices a tiny sparrow falling to the ground, an unusual and frightening situation for a bird, He certainly is aware of the distress of one of His children.

God sees us struggling in our trap and pities us. He does not want to destroy us but move us to a place of stronger faith and, ultimately, to a better location. “In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire — may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ” (1 Peter 1:6-7). “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away” (Revelation 21:4).

He knows we will be released, and He knows when we are ready to be released (Romans 5:3-5; James 5:11). When you hear that SNAP!, know that there is a huge Person whose hand will reach down and carry you off to higher ground.
